This guide will help you get the tools to be downloading anything to computer like a pro! First things first you need to know what your downloading.

TORRENTS

These beauties are what you'll pretty much be downloading. They are large files (anywhere from a few megs to a few Gigs) and contain your precious movies, and computer game files. Once you download the file (this take can take some time depending on the file size) You will need an application like this one to actually download and use the torrents:

http://www.utorrent.com

Most torrents are self-explanatory and most of the time all you need is utorrent to extract the files and run the setup. You can use torrent search engines like http://www.thepiratebay.org to find whatever files you need. Sometimes though you'll need to extract other files like...

.RAR

RAR files are another thing you'll want to extract, especially with torrents or if your downloading pictures. A simple application like:

http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

WINRAR will help you extract these files for your viewing. Simple and can be used just as well for .ZIP files.

CD Emulators

These things trick your computer into thinking a CD is in your drive when it actually isn't. These are pretty much a must if your downloading computer games. What you do is download something like:

http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/home

When you download the file of your choosing (using a torrent remember?) you'll be able to "mount" some files onto the daemon tools. These are usually odd files that are really big and usually say that they are CD1 or CD2 or something. You put these onto the daemon tools and then launch them. It's like running the video game CD from your computer when it doesn't even exist!

LIMEWIRE

The final thing you'll need for your music needs is something like

http://www.limewire.com

I would recommend finding something else (NOT BEARSHARE) because limewire has been known to infect computers. BUT if you de-install it after each use you'll be ok. All you need to do here is search for your favorite songs and then upload them to your itunes! Extremely simple application.

RECAP

1. Download large files like movies, video games, and more with Utorrent
2. Use WINRAR for some files that Utorrent might not cover
3. Use DAEMON TOOLS to make a fake CD ROM drive so you can play computer games
4. Use LIMEWIRE for downloading music

Another thing I'll mention is that you must be aware of files called CRACKS these are the files that usually bypass things like CD-Keys and other things. Read the instructions with the torrent and these usually tell you to put these "cracks" in with a main file folder or something. Pay attention to where things go and look at the comments because people probably have had every issue in the book.

Yeah i know but i'm just saying i dont like utorrent because in my own noobish opinion it fails

Lime wire has too many viruses.

I use Bittorrent for music.
I get the albums/songs from a torrent site such as mininova.org.
Have not had any virus problems with them yet.

Install this onto your computer, open the program once it's done installing, copypasta the url of your youtube video, download, and then you can convert it to whatever file type you want (sometimes I use it for music)

I use that for sites besides YouTube. It's awesome

i use isohunt.com for everything. usually just my music though cuz i get movies from watch-movies-links.net. utorrent=epicwin
