I'm so hopeless at this type of stuff. Upon trying to get a movie off thepiratebay, I got a bunch of porn pop ups.
But I use frost wire, that's as far as i usually go.

How so? I've downloaded many torrents that require the use of Winrar.

Supposedly one is faster, but it really depends which version you have and on what computer.

I heard Frostwire was made, essentially, to be a carbon copy of LW so that if Limewire went under, you'd still have something to use.
They added a chat feature or something, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't any other difference I wasn't aware of.

Winrar is used to extract files from archives, which is completely different from the use of uTorrent. uTorrent is used to connect to a Tracker, Seeders, and Peers and download a file from them. Winrar would be used after the torrent is downloaded to extract any archives. Winrar can't be used to do anything that uTorrent doesn't cover. And, kinda off topic. Listen to Proxy, he knows what he's doing.
