Cheesey Little Rhyme
5-27-09 and 5-28-09

I want to let you know how much you mean to me
So I’ll write this now, hoping you’ll see....
I’d been quite sad after Danny had died
Honestly, I even had thoughts about suicide
Friends changed my mind but I still wasn’t sure
Why was I still alive when he deserved much more?
But then you came along and you showed me joy
I hadn’t realised just how much I could love one boy
But you deserve it, hun....no, you deserve better
After the crime she’s done...Ugh, I really don’t get her
How could anyone ever hurt someone as sweet as you?
I promise you with my life it is something I’ll never do
I care about you so much, think about you every day
For as long as you want me, happily, I will stay
Because I’ve never met anyone quite like you before
And now I know that love isn’t fiction, it isn’t lore
I can honestly say that nothing about this is phony
All I’m really trying to say here is that I love you, Tony. <3

They were together for several months
She pleased him just like he wanted…
So why was it that she always thought
That she needed to be better…wasn’t good enough
And as she cried by herself every night
Those poetic little lines, she would write
Heartbreakingly sad stuff, like:
“Sometimes I wonder how long this will last
But that’s what happens when you love someone with a past”
Every time he looked at her
In his mind’s eye he saw pieces of them
Every time he touched her
He could feel the textures of their skin
It became worse when there was nothing they didn’t share
And she found she could no longer pretend like she didn’t care
“But what to do? How can I say I feel like I don’t compare?”
And I guess their love just froze right there…
It became nothing more than just some good times
She realised that she was just another of the finds
So she continued to write her little rhymes…
“I was worried that this love couldn’t last
And this is what happens when you love someone with a past
Now I just pray that death ends this pain fast…”
