people always group emo and goth together. idk y, considering theyre waaaaaaaay different. but i guess a lot of people dont know what emo is (wtf is up w/that?) and goth is more well-known.

yes people mistake emo for goth all the time because emo
is somewhat of a new discovery for some people
it used to be way more underground
but people are making it some sort of dumb fad.
but i mean if theyve never heard of emo
then theyre going to go to what they think is the next closest thing
appaerently goth.
people only look at direct similarities.
wearing black.
makeup.
obsessed with music.
but really theres a large line between the two
you just have to know the history. the facts
but no ones willing to do that.
so thats why most people are ignorant.

I have been called goth only once, but thats becuz everybody around hero knows about the 'emo hype' it's just a lack of subculture knowledge..

but no one on my school knows a shit about emo/goth :S
its only two emos at my school, me and a girl i dont know. we live kinda isolated here i norway :/
but still doesnt understand how people NOT can see the different between emo and goth

goth ...emo..emo... goth, there is no difference to 'them' and in a way tnat ios kinda a complement cuz a lotta emos are posers and some people see goths as more real.... but EMOS ROCK....

I get called A LOT of stuff in school... including: goth, emo, mosha, punk, skater and rocker. It's really annoying.

Here where i live, there are many scene kids, goths, punks, rap duded and metalheads. (It's like Urbz in the city) The preps we have try too hard to look Scene but anyone can tell who is Scene and who is not.
So if you are living in a place where Emo is not known very much, they'll probably call you Goth or Punk...
