I second that question.
I can't wear either for prolonged amounts of time because my eyes get red (I'm probably allegic to eye make up, but I like it.)Sad

Maybe your eyes are red because the mascara/ eyeliner is old?

I've also been looking for a good eyeliner that doesnt smear. I wear mine in racoon eyes and when I put it on the top it always smears. I hate it.

Nope, even with the brand new stuff it does that.
I buy new mascara every 2 months anyways.

Don't use a solid eye pencil for the top lid. It will always smudge.
Use a black, liquid liner. They work much better & don't really smudge. (:

The thing is that everybody has different skin types, etc. What is the best one for me might be the worst one for you.

And about the smudging: if you don't have a good base, almost every eyeliners smudge a little. If you use foundation, apply it on your eyelids, too. Then go for a primer and (especially when you're wearing eyeshadow or a lot of eyeliner) a skin coloured eye shadow. It will keep the eyeliner in place.
My eyeliner never smudge, not even when I sweat alot.

Gasolinerainbows: there are make up for those who are allergic or have sensitive eyes at pharmacies and places like that Smile
I don't think you should wear any make up that irritates your skin and eyes, it might be dangerous.

I never really wear eyeliner when I do sports and other things that makes the sweat run, but all these damn hot days you know? When you can't move at all because then you'll melt down to a piece of jello? Those days, my eye makeup stays in place ;D lol.
I'm blessed with very good skin, maybe it's that, too.

My eyeliner never smudges.
I use MAC eyeliner (pencil) and then go over it with MAC black eyeshadow by using an eyeliner brush. I do this on both top and bottom and it always stays in place.

I, personally dislike liquid eyeliner. I don't like how it looks on myself and I find it more complicated to put on.
plain and simple, buddy.

I don't use eyeliner (it scares me Shocked), but I do use mascara. Usually what's more expencive is better. However, it does count on what you want in mascara. There are some that are made to reach even the little lashes, and there are some that are made to look really big, and so forth. Maybe a brand like covergirl or something would be what you want.

I use...
Prestige Waterproof Eyeliner; Like what HELLOShiTTY said, applying a primer on your eyelids prevents further smudging.

And I use Lashblast for mascara.

I used barry m eye pencil.
It doesn't smudge and I have always had problems with eye makeup.
With mascara I have only found 1 that doesn't make my eyes red.
Which is boots natural collection.
Its not very good but its worth it if you cant find any mascara that doesn't react with your eyes.
