the 'alot of people' call them posers.. are 'the most ignorants' who dont even know what their fashion is called..which is S.C.E.N.E.
if you dress emo, that means you are a scene kid.. if you dress only for the fashion and dont give a shite about the music.. means you are a sceneter..
why wouldnt we have the 'state of mind'. id never call myself emo if i was to label myself.. i am scene.. not emo... and i dont need to believe in the 'state of mind' but yet, am not made of stone, i do have emotions, i do go through depression, i do hate my life sometimes... am i emo? no i am not emo.. i am scene... i am not unique when it comes to 'state of mind' because i am not alien or a stone human... i have a heart and we humans are an 'emotional' race.
so what makes you or your other emo friend.. so emo? real emo? the belief in the 'state of mind'?
nowadays everyone wants to be scene 'emo'.. especially teenagers.. and most of them do it for two reasons:
Cat1-fashion.. to be cool.. have no interest in the emo music
Cat2- because one day, they found themselves depressed and seeing that every depressed teenager has hair covering one eye, dressed in scene fashion, these teenagers, that i will call 'posers' do the same.. They dont know the history of emo and because an x person told them real emos are the ones that are VERY emotional..and they stick with this false information... a reality that is not a reality.
I am not here to judge anyone but i must say that 85% of kids on emobucket are posers. Sadly, they don't know that they are and excuse me, but i aint letting a 13 nor even a 16 years old teach me what emo or scene is..
Unfortunately, the extinction of the real scene kids has already begun this year and since the day (that i curse), when Fall Out Boy became oh so famous... Posers are everywhere.. like a universal plague.. since they already raped the meaning of emo..
There is another type of posers, the one most scene kids have nothing against... Ppl that dress scene, pretend to love emo music, know they are posers but they are still smart, because they what the real definition of emo is.. they just love emo for the fashion... thats all.. they dont go around spreading false informations..
