i dOnt dress like emo..I dont have a hair style thaT emoz do..
I juzt wanna hangout in here cOz, I can somehow relate to what I see here..for me,, therz infnite reasonz to be called an emo..

Only posers consider themselves emo. Emo is the music genre, SCENE is the fashion. You can't be emo.

when you dress like punk, listen to punk music and have the same attitude you can say of yourself that you are a punk...
so why can't a person who has the emo-style, listens emocore/emoMusic, and feels for what emo stands for say "I'am Emo." ?!?!

Appearance wise, I may look Emo since all I wear is black and blue and related apparel but I find that people who are "Emo" think much more abstract and keep an open mind unlike jocks, ghetto people and posers. I prefer hanging out with Emo people with the same mindset as I over the less intelligent.

also, if that punk would step up to me and say something mindless like "I'm punk", I wouldn't really consider him a punk anymore, or at least not a bright one. but that depends on >how< you say it, of course..

shakespear didn't look emo and he's like one of the biggest emos the world has ever seen.

*heart broken
*a lost friend(could habve lost for ever in an accident or died)
*no one like you
*no one wants to talk to you
*no one cares aout you
*every one picks one you
*you try to fight back but end up thinking not to
*im not sure if what im writting is tru but this is my personal philosophy....so sorry if u guys don't believe it..!!!!
and thats my reasons for why i became emo!!! hoped u guys believed it!!

So now emo is purely a 'state of mind'? I'm so sick of that. that's not what it is. I don't know how the term 'emo' that springed from 'emotional hardcore' came to define something so abstract as sentimentality for some people. that's so wrong ><
emo is not emotional. it's emotional hardcore. and Shakespear and Tupac were not emotional hardcore. yes, they were deep/sentimental but they were not emo(tional hardcore).

I don't agree. since when did you have to have a sad reason for becoming emo? it's a style, not some cult for depressed outcasts. emo/scene is a fashion and music thing (and yes, for many it also means some sort of 'emotional thinking', which often tends to be a bit... dramatized).
maybe that's your reasons that suits your philosophy for becoming "emo" but c'mon, it hasn't actually anything to do with the style. don't get the whole thing wrong.

i cut myself i lie to people i hate my friends because they aren't even really friends they're just people i dont want to have mad at me because they would just make my life worse i tried killing myself four times and almost had to go to a mental hospital for a year. the only reason that im not is because people say im beautiful and they dont think i have any reason to be depressed. which just makes things worse.
