Wat is a cheap Xmas gift, but is still appreciated?

My boyfriend got me a really nice birthday gift(shirt and a small jewlery box). He keeps saying i should save up for his birthday which i am. But wat he doesnt know is how my family is struggling financially... so i may not be able to afford one. So wat should i do for his present?
