@Squire: you're having a good point there

@Sader: I see what your point is, and it might be true that the US shouldn't have started there. I think that, after the 9/11 attacks, the US should've tried ...

Muh I'm depressed.. gonna get some alcohol and maybe continue this discussion later Smile

I don't suggest alcohol when you're already depressed. The feeling is usually enhanched when you get drunk. I'm lucky, I guess; I get jolly no matter what my previous mood was.

when i was talking about helping the world i wasnt really directing it towards wars at all... i was talking about tsunami relief and things of that nature... America is always there with a lending hand but why should we ever have to do anything for free? there world has never worked like that.... so of course we will help people but there better be something in it for us in the long run... otherwise thats like working for nothing.... and everyone knows that is ridiculous.

So don't claim that we don't? I don't think anyone is really faulting us for being a profit driven country, but it's absurd to claim that we're purely altruistic.

lolwut? You mean we had a war with Britain because we felt like they should absorb the entire price of fighting a war with the French and Natives and stationing bases all up and down our borders to protect us because we wouldn't stop wandering off into the wilderness? Yeah, we did have a war about that. How is that relevant to the discussion at hand? We didn't try to force democracy on Iraq. We invaded and set up a government that would continue to use the dollar standard for the oil exchange.

Do you seriously take all that mindless media in one gulp? Everyone hates bush because, everyone else does.
