Untainted Storm

With love and hate
I make it through the thunderstorm powered by my heart
holding hands, side by side
nothing will tear us apart

Let the rain
pulsate the dirt
with a mud-filled bloodstream
I am not hurt

An electric crash of lighting
punctures my colorless skin
the fire you started in my head
does not end nor begin

The thunder cracks
across the charcoal clouds
we watch our storm pass by
without motion or sound

Reflections of black and white
flash in your toxic green eyes
leaving no trace
of excess burdens or lies

All the pain and blood-kissed lips
get washed away with the rain and wind
this is where
our untainted storm comes to an end
