Is it true that they kill the whole sheep to make uggs? So thats yet another reson not to buy them...you know outher than the fact that they are uggly and are over priced.

hahahahahahaaa well considering they are made from sheeps skin, but thats ok, cos the sheep doesnt have to go around skinnless, it gets eaten!

same goes for leather shoes, its the skin of cows that get butchered (as in for food) that have their skins used for leather.

animals dont just get killed for their skins, they are used for food, so its not bad or wasteful.

Okay. I just wasnt sure if they used what was left for food. I have no prob with that, I was just upset cause I thought they wasted what was left.

if you want to get upset over wastage, just go to any fast food place, and look in the trash, you'll find wastage there.

I like to eat meat, but I don't like people wasting stuff, so it makes perfect sense to me that the skins get used.

the outside is the inside of the skin, i think, cos the wool is on the outside of the skin, but the inside of the shoe.

Skin is comfortable, don't you know? Sheep skin has great insulation. I have... probably eight pairs of ugg boots. I adore them. They're also very easy to take care of; skin's durable and easy to clean.

For the record, though, you can buy imitation ugg boots that are 100% synthetic.

The ugly expensive ones are probably made of sheep skin.
