Why should it matter if your gay or straight or black or white who cares if a specific group is being killed the fact is why do humans kill humans anyways? I mean why is it okay for people to go to war kill thousands upon hundreds of people and no one really cares but its more important if a couple gay people get knocked off? i think that gays also have to be aware of the surroundings, and if they are in an area known to NOT advocate homosexuality, for God's sakes, please don't advertise your sexuality. this has happened in some gay-bashings, if not in murders.

one of the problems is that schools, parents etc are afraid that by educating people about homosexuality when they are younger will "infect" them.
i mean for all other minorities, your born that way or you choose it later on!
people still debate whether being gay is a choice for god sake!
in high school teachers cant advocate against homosexuality, but i think they avoid the subject.
we read novels about racism, religion, sexism etc, but when it comes to homophobia students can almost gay bash a student without an upwards glance from anyone else...
but i guess im just cynical in my old age.
