Shit happened to me just the other day. I was walking into college and some black kid bumped shoulders with me, stopped me and said,

Unfortunatly there are a lot of people out there who are sick enough to take violence out on people who are different then they are. Its sad and disappointing at the human race that there are people like that, that being said there isn't much to do about it....

gay/black/womens rights arent about having something different to everyone else, its about being treated the same as everyone else
its about equal rights, the right to be treated equally

gay couples what the same rights as straight couples, to be able to be in public as a couple without harassment. they want the right to be able to marry the person they love, they want the same rights a straight couple have when one partner dies

Blacks want to be treated as human, not as slaves or animals, or like they're something dirty

Women want to get paid the same as men get paid for doing the same job. they want to not be treated as strange for wanting a career. they dont want to be treated as the possessions of men.

I just watched this video on youtube from Matthew Lush, and as a member of the gay community it disgusts me to hear this, not only that, I am now scared, for the safety of me, my gay and lesbian friends and my family. this has got to stop! We don't deserve this! why should we be scared of other people?

I agree with his father. He's lucky to have a parent worry, than have a parent who hates him. I just wanted to reach into the screen and give him a hug and tell him its ok. I'm bi, I have accepted that. And I know I am. My parents don't know, because they would kick me out. My brother could kill me, he's a homophobe. And I would have such a harder time with my school and friends than I do now. I'd be more depressed, which is something I don't need right now, as I am still in recovery of a suicide attempt that happened 2 years ago.
My boyfriend doesn't even know I'm bi. I want to tell him but he's a christian who is neutral on the gay rights debate, but I'm still worried about what he might say. I've only come out to one person, and that was my best friend Ashley and she still is my best friend. I wish I had parents and more friends who would accept gay people.

This makes me want to join a foundation for gay lesbian an bi-sexual ppl n I think I will. If I can I will.
