the slowest heart beat story / poem xx

she sits alone in the dark,
thinking of his name,
untill she heard a voice,
inside of her it came.

it told her to stop wasting her time,
she asked who was speaking
the voice replyed,your heart
now by loving this guy your kill me.

my beat gets slower each day,
so just give up, its doing no good,
forget about him and move on.

she said that she would try,
a few months later her mum walks in
to see her sleeping on the bed,
she gently pats her head get up dear
she whispers,
but not a word was said.

the next day she is buried,
her heart it never said,
how long she had to live,
if it told her would she stil be dead?

now she walks the cold and silent night,
with others of her kind,
wishing she had listened,
to her heart and not her mind.
