wow-that was an awesome thingy up there-it helped,and you know what-just yesterday i went to my first psychiatrist appointment. Im stopping-infact i'v been free of self inflicted bleeding for months-but i want to tell my psychiatrist it was a problem of mine-becaus she specializes in that stuff-any ideas how i can say it without clamming up and talking real quiet and getting too nervouse to talk about it? Confused

i used to cut.... alot cuz i was getting teased at my school for being a lesbian. i didn't know how to deal with it.... then my mum found out and put me in a mental hospital then in a behavioral hospital, and THEN in a residential treatment facility. i was in and out of treatments for 18 months. i've stopped now, not cuz my depression was fixed but because i don't want ot go back there. i still have cravings for cutting but i don't do it.... but i'm afraid i might relapse cuz i'm under alot of pressure from my parents.... i need help.

i agree it is an addiction
i used to do it aswell and then my mum found out and thought i was doing it for attantion
and i wear a rubber bands around my wrist so if i feel like cutting i flick it and it hurts and the mark fades
but cuts dont they leave ugly scars
and then you feel ugly and then you cut again its really annoying

and yes it is fucking hard to stop!
