Call Themselves Emo:the emos that dont care that theyre called emo. that willingly will agree with someone that theyre emo. often called posers. but what if theyre not posers?? what if theyre simply just 'not in denial'?? can you tell a difference?

the first is definetaly worse in my opinion, I get very frustrated when people call themselves emo, i mean admit to it if someone asks you. There are a few people I know that'll walk into a room and scream 'I'M EMO!'

It's just like there asking to be made fun of, where I am it's a very bad thing to be considered emo. I hate all labels

I think if someone is obviously 'emo' but denies it is just being themself, or hiding it away becuase they're afraid.

the second ones..yeah i guess it could be fear. it sort of depends on where u live. if u lived here youd be widely accepted. emos/scenesters are the popular kids :/ well..the ones that stick out anyways. see if someone here was obvious emo/or scene. and they just flat out denied it...well -.-
its just plain flat out lieing..which means theyre probably doing it to fit in with the crowd...which i guess makes them RIGHT..because that makes you not emo.

I don't believe that 'emo' exists, per se.

As a subculture, I don't think it can as it's based around a music genre which isn't really 'emo'. Emo is Rites of Spring, City of Caterpillar etc, not Fall Out Boy, Paramore etc.

People have been calling me emo since the dawn of time and i'm i've always been denying it then one day this summer I woke up and realised OMG i'm emo!

so i'll addmit it sometimes and make fun of emos alot cause i like being ironic. I'll be like "those stupid emos are so annoying with their black hair always in their face" *then i flick my hair*

i mean being in denial isnt right cause you're just lying to yourself, and it might just lead you to hang out and be with the people who are complete opposites. because you want to fit in. you're scared of what people will think of you. but then if you openly accept people labeling you as emo.. i dont see anything wrong with that. it's different than announcing to the world you're emo. if you walk into a room and yell out 'i'm emo!' then yeah.. that would make you a poser.
i guess the real 'emos' are the ones that don't have to try to get noticed as one, they're just themselves. and people notice that, and label them.. they'd be like 'ok whatever. i'm just being myself.'

Real Emo(s) can call themselves Emo. It won't make them posers.
Fake Emo(s) Call themselves Emo kids which they aren't.
Depressed people aren't EMO and these teenies with cuts all over their wrists are the worse people ever on this whole fucking planet.

I should say that I hate them with passion and would laugh at them and wouldn't offer them help to stop the cutting. Because if planet earth ever knows the death and hunger in the ten years to come, that will be because of these teenies that cut their wrist and cry over the bleeding. Soon to realize how much they were bleeding and that they need help. They fucking get the help they need but weasels as they are, they go back to cutting.

If these teenies of 11 and 13 start cutting for no reason at all at such a young age, how about when they grow up to an older age. Could they survive THE REAL PROBLEMS OF LIFE? Hell No... They will be the reason of our Downfall and the extinction of the human race.

Indeed, both sides can be poser and both sides can be real.
But usually real emo people don't call themselves EMO, they are known as SCENE kids because they want to stick with the real name label since THE INVASION of the new EMO GENERATION came with the new untrue and fake meaning of EMO.
REAL EMO people also can deny it but it's just because of the above. They are ashamed and think that if they say they are EMO they will be called POSERS/Scenesters.
But But But... They are still Scene. If they dress scene and listen to EMO then they are 100% SCENE KIDS.

Now to you, or you who is reading this past your friend's shoulder, or you who is about to cut your wrist:
-You don't dress SCENE and you don't listen to EMO MUSIC, YOU ARE A POSER IF YOU CALL YOURSELF EMO.

Every human being goes through emotional moments and the only way to survive to this cruelty of life, is by being strong and fight as a stronger being. Then you will be worth living on this earth that is already experiencing its final hours.
