CAN I JUST MAKE SURE YOU ALL KNOW THAT I DID NOT WRITE THIS POEM, BUT AM MERELY REPOSTING IT.
It was originally sent to me on Facebook, with a message to say that it was written by a 16 year old girl with terminal cancer who isn't expected to live to see the new year. She wanted this poem to be spread around the internet, and for people everywhere to read it and understand why she thinks it is such an urgent message.
I'm not going to tell you my interpretation of this poem, because I think she'd want you to come to your own conclusion about it and really give it some deep thought
I thought it was really beautiful and touching, and I think many of you out there would agree.
So here it is...
SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,"Hi"
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over

Coz I really always knew that my little crime would be cold...
Thats why I got a heater for your thighs
And I know, I know it's not your time.
But bye-bye
And a word to the wise when the fire dies,
You think it's over
But it's just begun...
Thats why I got a heater for your thighs
And I know, I know it's not your time.
But bye-bye
And a word to the wise when the fire dies,
You think it's over
But it's just begun...

Welcome to the wonderful world of jealousy. For the price of admisson, you get a splitting headache,a nearly irresistible urge to commit murder and a inferiority complex. Yippee!

This is great.
It's kind of sad, though. :[

I'm just a love machine, feeding my fantasy, give me a kiss or three and I'm fine.
I need a squeeze a day, instead of the negligée, what will the neighbours say? <3

It was fairly good. I'm not so sure about it being a song, a poem would fit it better in my opinion. But overall it was good.
