RUSSIAN EMO FANS PROTEST AGAINST NEW SCHOOL UNIFORM RULES
The emo kids have been out protesting again, this time not against the Daily Mail, but in Russia where the authorities are reportedly trying to ban emo and goth wear from the country's schools. A few dozen emo kids took to the streets in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk last week to protest at the new rules, which also ban the use of text messaging in schools. One protestor told the Associated Foreign Press: "How can you stop people from expressing themselves, from dressing how they like, from living a way of life that doesn't harm anyone?" Well, introducing stricter school uniform rules would be one way. Reports suggest the Russian authorities are banning emo wear from school because of this strange obsession with the idea that the emo scene is somehow linked to teenage suicide. Of course, telling angst-ridden suicidal teenagers they can't dress how they want is really going to help.

Text messaging was banned from classrooms and if you got caught your phone was taken away.

i certainly am. i may look like them (i dress better) but im thinking on a totally different level. i unlike everyone else here read about this before i even came across this thread. i read a hell of a lot more than all of you here im sure. and anyone with common sense knows that what they said was that they were banning dressing like not only emo but goth as well in the schools and government buildings.

as for you personally overcastkid, may i ask, if you think emo kids are so whiny why are you on this site? (innocent question, its just confusing why someone who seems to dislike emos would spend time on a site dedicated to it)
