I told him I'd try to be nice and do things for him, but here's the thing:

one week his best freind was busy and couldnt give him a ride, so he asked me if i could and i said sure.

but now


he expects me to take him over to his gf's house all the time
and then he expects me to take him home after a few days.
and he gets pissed off if i tell him "it wouldnt bother me so much if we could all hang out before i drop you off"

thing is, he has no job, no car, and i do, and i work my ass off trying to pay for gas (which aint cheap!!!!) and he cant grasp this concept. but i also feel sorry for him, too, becuase his dad has cancer and he's going thru alot becuase of that, and i try to be nice becuase he always tells me how much he appreciates it (getting a ride) and makes me feel needed in this odd way.

and he never asks his best freind for a ride anymore, only me.


how do i get him to quit taking advantage of me!!!!?!!?!?

Quit giving him rides... There's nothing in it for you but being nice, and you've already been nice. So feel good about being nice, and don't get taken advantage of.

So ya.. Tell him to get a job and give him yellow cabs #

Simply stop letting him take advantage of you.

Stick with a nice firm "no".

And if he tries to guilt trip you, guilt trip him back.

tell him exactly what you said in the post. "You have no job...I have to give you rides frequently...gass is expensive"
the price of gas alone should be enough. Tell him that he's worn out your sympathy car rides. (In a nice way)

He thinks just cuase I offer to do something once i'm automatically going to do it everytime becuase I said " i dont have a problem giving you a ride" the last few times.

and now that i've told him to just call me when he wants to go home, he hasnt called me. running a little experiment to see how long he's going to stay at his g/f's. so far its been almost two weeks

or you could pretend that you're going some place else..
tell him you have to go to another friend's/relative's house or to the mall which is no way near his house or his gf's house..

i did that the other night. his girlfreind texted me and said "its no big deal if your busy. i cna always have my mom take him home. "
