I'm not personally vegan or vegetarian but I can respect those people that are.

People who are vegetarians 'for the sake of the animals' are hypocrites who receive no respect from me.

That said, I generally dislike green activism, though I have no problem with people choosing this lifestyle out of health related reasons.

I would agree with you. A lot of the time it's irrational and not helpful.

For some reason though I vegetarianism doesn't bother me; I guess it's because it doesn't harm anyone and it's not forced upon others.

I'd love to be vegitarian, but I just can't do it at the moment, especially when my parents like LOVE meat...
I'll be a veggie when I'm older.
I respect people who are veggie, vegan or whatever. Laughing

I'm vegetarian simply for the fact that the thought of meat just makes me feel sick. The fact that it was once living*, you know?

Not in the sense that 'oh how could you be so horrible to the animals!' but in the sense that I can't bear the thought of the blood and the cooking and the whole thing, man!

And I don't want a lecture on how we were made to eat animals and all that cal because I know that, I just don't wanna eat 'em.

Happy wearing them though.
How I love my leather.

*don't mention plants, dammit!

I'm not saying all environmental activism is bad. I'm just saying that I want smart activism, where the goal is not to throw a wrench in the wheel (which the other side is also guilty of) but to promote discussion and compromise that leads to realistic and helpful, environmental protection.

Actually, if everyone adopted a vegan lifestyle, a great (in the sense of big) change could be made.

I mostly dislike green activism because of the holier-than-thou attitude that goes with it, the hypocrism and many other reasons.

Wow, you're way off!

He's saying he doesn't like green-activists because they act really superior and better than you.

I'm just generalising. And if you're doing it for the animals, then don't come with half-hearted attempts; become a vegan.

Just my opinion, of course.
