by having sex with a woman, he is agreeing to take responsibility for the consequences of that. so unless he has his lawyer sit down with the girl before hand and come to an agreement that he will not be responsible should a child be created, yes he should be responsible

and a one night stand?
often numbers/names are never exchanged
if the girl gets pregnant, shes on her own.
oh look! it makes the guy a sperm doner

personally, my preferred solution to the whole issue is anal sex (with a condom), the chances of pregnancy are.... minimal

though, in my current relationship, if my partner gets pregnant... it will be a miracle which will disprove god.

and overall, if both condoms and some form of hormonal contraceptives are used, pregnancy is very unlikely.

Hes nothing more than a sperm doner.
and no one expects a sperm doner to pay for any child they happen to be the biological father of.

Sperm doners are different. They're not involved in the actual conception. They're providing a service and there's already legal involvement.

What about the mans freedom?
maybe he wants a child, and it gets aborted?
maybe he doesnt want one, and is forced to support it. how is that any different to forcing a woman to have a child against her will?

I agree, it's sexist, but it's what the law is, and we can't change that.
It's different because it's doing something completely physical to a woman, it's like rape.
Yet the man was aware of possible consequences.

yet woman are able to choose to abort? thats what they get told, its their choice.
or the woman can give the child up for adoption.
why cant the guy give the child up for adoption?

Women can choose to abort because it's physically inside them.
It's circumstantial, if the woman wanted to keep the baby, she can't be forced to give it up for adoption by the male.
Just as if a male was a single parent from the start of the childs life, then 5 years later, the woman comes back and says she wants the kid to be given up for adoption, it wouldn't happen, and if the father had custody, the mother would still have to pay child support.
