Sex Thread 2 - Q & A

Edited by KittensKill:

Why talk about sex?
Not talking about it causes far too many problems.

There are kids out there who think a girl can get pregnant from kissing, not sex.
There are kids who think oral is no different to kissing.
There are kids who don't think anal sex is really sex.
There are girls who go for oral and anal, because then they can still remain 'virgins'

If you're unsure about things, ask questions. Ask a lot of questions.
And, often, talking to people who are a few years older than you is far better than talking to people the same age as you.

The lack of sex ed, or the inaccurate sex ed that many people have is incredibly scary.

Sure there are a lot of risks involved, but the same could be said about crossing a busy road, you don't do it without being cautious.

FAQs

Masturbation: is it normal?
Spoiler:
Yes. Almost everyone masturbates, even if they dont talk about it. Many people do so once a day (so don't feel like you're doing it too often), some people only to it once a week, and other multiple times a day.
Masturbation is healthy, it releaves stress, and its the safest sex you can have, and its the best way to learn abotu your body.

When is the best time to have sex for the first time?
Spoiler:
When YOU are ready. Dont feel pressured because your friends are having sex.
If you're having sex for the first time, keep it simple, keep it sober, and keep it safe
Keep it simple: leave all the kinky stuff till later, you have plenty of time to try that once you've mastered the basics.
Keep it sober: no alcohol, no drugs. Did you know it can count as rape if one or both of you are not sober?
Keep it safe: Use a condom

Whats the effectiveness of contraceptives?

Spoiler:
Condom (Male)

* Typical use: 85% effective
* Perfect use: 98% effective

Female Condom

* Typical use: 79% effective
* Perfect use: 95% effective

Spermicides

* Typical use: 71% effective
* Perfect use: 85% effective

The Pill

* Typical use: 92% effective
* Perfect use: 99.7% effective

Abstinence

* 100% effective

No Method

* Data indicates that women who use no birth control and who are sexually active for one year have an 85% chance of becoming pregnant in that year

* It is important to note, however, that this number is highly variable and is dependent on age and frequency of intercourse

Additionally, if a woman has sex on her most fertile day of one cycle, her chances of becoming pregnant are:

* 50% if she is 19-26 years old
* 40% if she is 27-34 years of age
* 30% if she is 35-39 years old

* Typical use refers to failure rates for people who do not consistently or always correctly use their birth control. These rates usually apply to the average person as it is sometimes difficult to always and reliably use birth control the correct way

* Perfect use refers to failure rates for those whose use is consistent and always correct

What are the different sex positions?

Spoiler:
look up the karma sutra.

Does anal sex hurt?
Spoiler:
It probably will, unless you do it right.
Foreplay first, do you have vaginal sex without foreplay?
You need to experiment a lot first, go slow, cos lots of lube wont make you relax.
Try with one finger, then two, before putting anything more in and you need to be relaxed.
And while using enough lube is important, having someone who gives a damn about how you feel is even more important, and communication is probably the most important thing.

If you have a question, ask.

Just try to choose someone with somewhat a brain.
I think normally humans learn to distinguish reality from acting at the age of 3 or something. But apparently for some reason that seems not to be true for porn. Rolling Eyes

I'm not sure about the impact it has that all the kids these days are watching porn so much.
On one hand it could be a good guide for inexperienced.
On the other hand - especially since all kinds of porn, including more extreme ones, are available on the internet - it'll give them a false idea of what is "normal". I mean, suddenly girl ae shaving their pubic hair, which they only got a few years ago, because porn suggests them that it's normal and everybody expects it.

No problem.
It looks weird though, reading all that stuff that I didn't write. And you took away my "snarky" remark and explanation why the old one was locked. Razz But that's ok.

Question:
When the guys wearing a condom, do you even notice when he comes?
Like, aside from him saying it or ..expressing it.

Yes, this may sound crude, but it usually gets more warm and 'squishy'

Depending, you can feel him "twitch" during each pulse of orgasm.

I have a question.

Last night, I had sex for the first time in a few months. I've had sex before in the past, and this is where my question comes in.

At the beginning, it hurt almost as much as it did when I first lost my virginity. Is that (for lack of better word) normal?

Okay so, I'm still a virgin and so is my partner.

During my first time, I don't want to use a condom, or better, I never want to use one.
I'd prefer getting on birth control all the time. The risk of getting pregnant is like, 1%, seeing that birth control is effective 99.99%

Reason I don't want to use condoms:
For me, it wouldn't be as pleasurable like without it.

What should I do?
Do I really have to use a condom?
Or is birth control enough?
Is there something more effective?

Thanks.

As for Ninto, sorry, I really don't know ._.

Definitely normal. You have to take into mind that not every guy out there is the same size. Plus, masturbation for a girl can actually make her tighter since when you orgasm, your muscles contract and it helps build them up. (There's actually exercises you can do to make yourself tighter XD). So if it's been a while, and you've been masturbating during that time, you've gone back to square one almost, minus the hymen.

I'm still a virgin, but I have heard that if you do not have sex for a while you sorta....close back up or heal or whatever! I don't know this for fact but it is what I've heard.

And I when you have sex for the first time what kind of pain is it? A sharp pain or a really bad ache or what?

I'm going to be honest. I've been having sex since I was 13. All with boyfriends and things like that. Something I'm not proud of, I don't really like to talk about my past, but..

During that time since it was with people I trusted I only used a condom here and there, hardly ever really. Nor was I using birth control. Though it was incredibly stupid, I was extremely lucky in the way that I never got pregnant. I'm beginning to think that I'm sterile. >_> If it's with someone you trust, and you-really- don't want to use a condom, there is something called the "pull-out method". Which isn't a 100% guarantee since during sex guys may leak some sperm before they even cum, or while orgasming, they might not get it out fast enough or get caught up in the feeling and not take it out at all. I'd definitely suggest some form of birth control. I'm supposed to start mine this Sunday. If you're on the pill you have to be RELIGIOUS about taking them. Everyday at the same time.

Or there is a shot you can get, about every 6 months I think. Just one shot an you don't have to worry about it until the next time you're due. It stops your cycle completely, thus no period, no period = no chance of pregnancy. The only problem with this is since you're not having your period if you are that .01% that gets pregnant, you'll have no way of knowing, since the usual first sign is a missed period.

There is also something I've heard about an implant you can get in your arm or something that only needs to be changed every 3 years or so, I don't know much about that though.

It all depends on the size of the guy really. The first time I had sex it didn't even hurt at all. He didn't even "pop my cherry" so to speak. >_>

With my boyfriend now though the first time we had sex, it hurt a bit. But it's not really like a sharp pain, it's more of an achey feeling. You're bring stretched, not ripped. But if you found some guy with a monster in his pants, you could be looking at some tearing, which would definitely bring on some sharp pains.
