Mods (or Admins, I don't give a damn) locking threads without commenting why suck.
I hope I'll remember that.

fuck that pisses me off when other mods (or admins) lock with out explaining why they're locking
the number of times people have accused me of locking their thread and I know nothing about why its been locked

I don't want to get a Mod mad at me because I am new.

But

I do not know what the story is behind the locking of the thread or even what the thread is really about but I am a member of another forum and any time a Mod locks a thread they make the final post on that thread and explain why they did it and it also idents the Mod in question.

I always give the Mods the benafit of the doubt as to why they do things but they should explain if for no other reason every one knows not to break the rules or through PMs they can debate it with the Mod in question.

It's like normal speaking, then SHOUTING.

Yeah.
Well, sometimes it's obvious, and I guess sometimes I'm guilty of not commenting, too. But most of the times I try, especially when it's thread by a newbie. I give a reason and try to guide them to the right place or link them to the rules (I sometimes wish there was a "read the rules" template...).

Apart from that I think it's fucking stupid to simply lock one of the favorite (= oldest and longest, most active) threads.
And I don't understand why "too long" threads get locked and a second one created. I mean, I understand that if it's an ongoing discussion, it's annoying when people don't read up before commenting, if it's Q&A it's a little annoying when people ask certain questions again. But: most people won't read through the whole thread as soon as it's more than 2 pages long. So it doesn't really make a big difference if it's 3 or 30 or 300 pages. Or is there a technical problem with long threads?
Just saying... Not my decision how this is run, so - whatever.

I honestly cannot stand this anymore.
Whether it be in rl or on the internet, people are getting so completely rude.
It's horrible, you can't go anyway and find a refuge anymore.
Sure you can always expect a few people to be rude, but when it's a large percentage of people? Geez.

I don't think so.. I don't take shit from people when it's undeserved, but I am patient with people who no one else would be patient with..
