They're all uncool everywhere.
If you're calling yourself 'emo', then you're uncool.
But the music is a'ight.
is emo cool or uncool in ur area?
I live in St. Louis, most kids at my school are preps. Emo, or anything close to emo, is almost nonexistant.

I live in the country in Texas, and the school is filled with hicks, preps, and anything else.. there's only four people who consider themselves 'emo' and if your in that crowd; your house gets broken into, you get random fights started with you, my one friend had her locker covered in razors with a note that said "Go kill yourself" ...
It's annoying.

Where I live most people get along but now and then ya have to deal with a jerk.
But a jerk is a jerk to any one not like them.
I'M not very big and some times I get picked on but I think it's only because I am not big not because I'M Emo.
One day I got punched at school by a big kid. He got in me in the stomach and it hurt. My dad tought me to always fight back even if you know your gonna loose. Bullies don't like getting hit back. I punched that guy back. Now he leaves me alone.

wait till you all try and get a job looking like you all do. i had to take my lip ring out, it sucks. i mean theres a few places that dont care but not many.
also when i go to the bars theres very few emo ppl. lots of frat guys and gansters.
back in the day hardcore got really popular and drove any emo music in the scene out of the area. tons of shitty "beatdown" hardcore bands. kids would fight at every show. i stopped going after seeing a few lil emo guys get the crap stomped out of them. my friend who liked how the scene was going would go out of his way to punch the emo kids who stood on the side of the most pit as he ran around hardcore dancing. im pretty cynical so i kinda laughed at most of it. but they ruined a really fun scene.

i hate my school. i live near the beach (i didnt grow up here so i dnt really fit it with this "scene" [haha the irony]) and everyones really preppy. im not saying i mind but they seem to mind the fact that im not. its totally not fair. and there arent really any cute, artistic emo type guys. theres one and hes an ASS. -_- and i do like preppy guys (no choice really) but they think im weird/look like a guy. however thers this bigger school a few miles away tht has plenty my type and before my current school existed i was supposed to go there. but of course life isnt that fair.
oh and the one guy (my ex) who was supposed to go to my school moved away (which is why hes my ex)

it was cool like 5 years ago. I think its funny some people are just now catching on to it.
Where i live all these chubby little 14 year old girls are buying leopard skinny jeans, band tees and failing at teasing their hair and calling themselves 'scene.' its rather annoying.
I'm sure if you tried to have a conversation with them about the music they claim to like, they wouldn't know what you're talking about.

Around here, people hate them. It's pretty common everywhere for people to hate on the "emo" crowd, however, in my city in particular, it's a whole new level. People want to eat their hearts out, literally. Hating on the "emo" crowd has become just as stupid as the "emo" thing itself.

My school is literally filled with "emows" but obviously no one calls themselves that because no one can be emo. But there are a lot of scene kids. It's the majority actually.

do people really do that?
look down upon people when they really should be focusing on themselves? here it doesn't matter what you are, as long as you're content with yourself...

We've got all the attention seekers. The ones who go around lamenting how bad their life sucks.
Middle school/high school drama queens. Posers and "too good for you bitches"
The rest, is either hicks or slut preps. A lot of wannabes.
And the rest Haters. :]
Oh then there's people like me, who've got a superiority complex. :]
