im waiting to become vegetarian.

mainly coz i live at home and i dont want to bother who ever is cooking!
i mean ill be vegetarian, but if im at someone elses house for dinner or something ill eat meat then, i just wont have it when im cooking, or when i get takeaway.

im fine with that because im not doing it for ethical reasons, mainly for the health benefits. people may say its unhealthy but its still better than my current diet.

Oh FeMo..
Anyway..
So you want to be a vegetarian because you think it's better than your current diet, and you have an ethical issue with it?
But you don't want to bother someone with a decision that would change your life a bit?
What exactly are your ethical issues with it?

live eggs?
what are you counting as "live"? And why does it matter?
their diet is evolving, which means they are evolving. And evolution is a case of evolve or die. So i guess the more important question is why are they evolving, why do then need their diet to change?

I meant live animals, typo.
how do eggs differ?

Because the eggs people eat are not fertilised. They will never hatch it to anything living, they're just a hen's menstrual waste.

w00t
i like fried chicken period with my bacon.
though, with free-range eggs, there is a chance that they may be fertilised

i am vegan because i do not believe animals should be looked at as property to be owned raised and harvested. they have life and wills and interests of their own. it only seems to me that if i truely believe in freedom and equality, then veganism is a natural extension of that

I am equal to a lion, therefore i am equal to hunt the same as a lion, and eat the same if i so choose.
you are equal to the lions prey, therefore perhaps i should be able to hunt and eat you?

there is a big difference between a lion hunting and eating it's prey and the factory farm industry our meat and eggs come from. a lion doesn't lock up it's pray and raise it in captivity. there is a natural equality between a lion and it's prey. sometimes the lion wins, sometimes the prey gets away

I think we should have a Vegetarian Cookbook on here. I've been trying to find recipes all over the internet for my boyfriend and nothing is really popping out.

Though I'm super excited for Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips. Mmmm.

Just vegan recipes though? Personally, I love mac and cheese to much to give up diary products as well.

I'm just stacking up vegetarian recipes for my boyfriend, and plus I'm going to start eating that way. Only because even though red meat is om nom nom, stroke and heart disease run in my family. Not taking any chances.

If you're equal, then you shouldn't be given your current luxuries.

Then you should be to eat meat for survival, not putting other animals through torture for your convenience.

i am mostly vegetarian. the thing is, if you eat more and more of vegetables the moral arguement is that you are hurting the vegetable, we all have to eat to survive.
a lot of people argue "but animals have feelings" and things like this...but i think plants have feelings too :s i one time tested this, and grew 2 plants, always praising one and insulting the other, and this one began to wither :[

so i respect your feelings, but also consider the plants?? i dont know.

you seem to have a strange v iew of equality. when people speak of equality, they usually mean equality of interests. my interests are no more important than anyone else's. it's not having everything be exactly the same
