ummm it's ok, i mean it could have made some better connections but i think you started with a middle and not really a closing end or a clear beginning.

This whole post is brilliant. Not only are the blamed "emo" band only here to entertain and perform but some of them are also out there to send a message to people. Messages that in so many ways saves peoples lives everyday(me being one of them). Meanwhile Hip-hop/Rap music today in general is aimed towards gangs, sex, and street shootings. How is this culture? Yes i do admit that there are a couple hip-hop/rap songs that have a good meaning, but it's disgusting listen listening to the vulgar things in some of the songs. A lot of it is disregarding to a certain sex or race. It just doesn't make sense to me. thank you so much "concealedbyvanity" for posting this thread...these things are most definately things that should be said..

i just read it and im shocked at the narrowmindedness. but she cant really help a limited IQ. in response to this article, it was very good, and i have to admit, i didn't even know about the mutilated doll. thats just weird. im trying to think of a single green day song with suicidal lyrics.

People can't let others be themselves without judging.
Great article, its exactly what we've all thought before I'm sure. :3

Today’s hip-hop lyrics are more violent, more sexist than any “emo band” you will find. Their lyrics have been referred to as "urban culture" and "their environment" but is "Emo" not a culture of its own? If we have room to justify to hip-hop lyrics today why can that not be done for "emo" lyrics as well?
And me too find a problem with this
