i started this topic more than a year ago to prove something. Emos are called goths, almost everyday... some people sayed that it isn't reason to be mad. hell, maybe it isn't, but i hate to be called something i'm not. and it's like this, the first times it's ok and stuff, but hearing it everyday really screws a person up. keep on posting, i'll keep on reading xD

They're all pointless labels anyway, why should you try to label yourself as 'emo', 'scene', or 'goth', why can you not just be you?

I was sitting next to this girl on the bus and she said do you know any of the guys on the basketball team? I said no. And she told me tht most of them hated me. I couldn't even believe tht. All the guys tht didn't make the team hated me [my first thought was...WTF].She told me tht they said "We don't like her cause she's all goth.".I didn't even know i had a hater's fanclub.And most of the girls on th cheerleading team didn't like me either. Its weird cause i never talked to anyone of the cheerleaders tht hated me and they weren't in any of my classes and neither did they sit at my table. Nor the basketball players. I was confused fer a long time. Now i dont give a shit. =]

i am called goth all the time. its quite annoying but my mom seems to have relized that there is a difference between emo and goth so she now finnally calls me emo

Yeah, I've gotten the whole "OH EM GEE YUR SO GOTH."
And I'm just like "actually no... thats why I'm wearing colors..."
I mean yeah, I wear a lot of black but usually its just accenting other colors in my outfits, like white or pink.

This little girl whos like 4 years younger than me is my obsessive stalker (seriously she used to call my house 5 times a night) and she thought I was gothic. But then she's like "so r u emo, scene or goth?" and i was like "labels are for lame-ass posers who are too insecure to just be themselves" and she was like "oh. well im all three."

So yeah I've been called a lot of things including goth.

yeah but i am emo goth,so it doesn't bother me
just throwing it out there,that goth and emo fashion isn't that different,well at,east what from i've seen,but i ain't no expert on fashion

Even thought I like to blush my BLACK eyeshadow around ma EYES or Dress up in BLACK and White with Red ribbon and Especially I got BLACK HAIr (<--Ma natural Hair Colour)

Emo, scene, goth, they're all useless label, and apparently you can't learn to just be yourselves without trying to wear something and consider how 'em0w' it is.

I always get called goth, mostly in public, my friends have to hold me back becaus I hate it so much I want beat up the people who call me goth.I guess it's hard for people to tell I mean goth is very close to emo in a way.I think the only differences are that emos have more color in their cloths and stuff and I don't about goths becouse I don't think I've ever seen in person, but I do hear rumors that I'm shure arent 100% ture.
