Is modern woman weak?
In the past a pregnant woman would work in the fields right up until she gave birth, which she would do before going back to work.
they now use pain killers and opt for cesareans rather than giving birth naturally.
Is modern man weak?
In the past man did physical work from sun up to sun down, with barely any time to put into intellectual pursuits.
He could build a house, a barn and plow the fields
hed go to battle and suffer horrific wounds, and still survive, go home and go back to work.
what has happened to us?
have our lives of comfort made us weak?
Are modern humans weak?

Yes, I suppose so.
I mean, all our technology to do things for us,
we don't have to do any work.
Or as much, I should say.

No kittens. There were women that couldn't give birth back in the old days, but they usually died. Or the baby died.
There is considerably less of that now.

most birth related deaths were from infection. as in, if anyone interfered (attempted to help) with the birth. animals have no assistance, and they dont have the death rate that humans haveSnowXwhite wrote: There were women that couldn't give birth back in the old days, but they usually died. birth is a natural thing, why should assistance be needed?
if you look back through history, its when women are considered as weak and inferior that more complications occur
if a woman spends her pregnancy laying around and getting no or little excercise how is it surprising that she has problems?
women who work up until close to the birth seem to have less problems

Appeal to nature fallacy. If rape is natural, then why should it be prevented?
And If you're going to accuse me of doing the same, I'll just copypaste a post from some other forum.(Vegetarianism)

I do believe that we're weak physically and mentally.
Physically because we have fattier, unnatural food for us to eat.
Mentally co-insides with the physical.
Our brain muscles get less use.
So yes, we are weaker.

i dont think someones been working out.
yes we are weaker, WAY weaker.
but the only thing that could stop it continuing now would be the apocalips which i see coming by falt of mankind.
we are smarter in some ways- like we know science and shiz, but we are stupid in others, like we cant protect each other, we give the ones we love poisons (metaphore) and we really hardly care if we live or die. either in the long term or short term.

Why would that be intelligence? And why aren't people nowadays do not care if they live or die?

Yes they do. Cows and sheep often need help while given birth. And the ones that aren't gotten to in time/ can't be helped die. It's a regular occurrence on a farm.

what about undomesticated animals?Effy wrote:KittensKill wrote:most birth related deaths were from infection. as in, if anyone interfered (attempted to help) with the birth. animals have no assistance, and they dont have the death rate that humans haveSnowXwhite wrote: There were women that couldn't give birth back in the old days, but they usually died. and the problems with the domesticated ones are due to the breeding and domestication, such as trying to breed animals that have multiple births more often than occurs naturally.
also, i have cousins who have a farm, they never have problems with their sheep giving birth.. so i dont think its overly comparable.
