God wrote: I highly doubt that many of you actually have the phobias you listed. A phobia is the irrational fear and unconditional avoidance of a certain thing. People who are claustrophobic, for example, might not be able to be in a room with the windows closed, or perhaps couldn't sit in a car, or be in a room with the door closed. People who legitimately have a phobia of heights perhaps won't be able to stand on a step ladder or climb stairs. Those afraid of snakes may not go into the woods or even to a zoo, for fear that the snakes would escape.
You're all irrational, no doubt. But listing 30 phobias and claiming to have all of them is either a blatant lie or one of the most tragic cases in history. I have but two, and just those are so earth-shattering they make life intolerable at times.
Thats exactly what I was saying to myself. I think my only real phobia is the one of tight spaces, I can hardly breathe in them and I panic.
I'd say the other things I listed are just long term fears.
