I've pretty much grown out of everything in my wardrobe. So I'm taking this as an opportunity to change my style. I used to wear multi-colored band-tees/hottopic shirts and too-tight jeans. I'm hoping to keep the skinny jeans thing, but I kinda want a hipster/hippy look. Where should I look for clothes like that? I dunno I might just like a toned-down sort of scene look.
Should I look at American Apparel? I think Wet Seal has some good stuff too right?
EDIT- and if you have a suggestion for a new style for me, I won't object to it and I'll think it over. As long as it's serious.

Cardigans are really good for the fall and winter, and they're super easy to find. Urban has a lot but they're expensive, TJ Maxx or Marshalls is a good place to check. I would also invest in a good pair of slouchy boots, because they're super comfy and really cute with a long tunic and leggings. Kind of like these:
Spoiler:
(only if you like them, of course.)
Long tunics or tees with leggings or really tight jeans are cute, and really comfortable when you don't feel like getting dressed for school. I'll wear a big shirt with a cardigan, leggings, and uggs to school and it still feels like I'm in my pajamas, but I look more put together. Maybe cinch it at the waist with a belt to look a little dressier.
those are a few things that I think would look cute on you :3

RE: The advice thread.
well you see, it takes a lot to do my hair in morning but i really like it, though many don't.
it's pretty mixed for me, some people like my hair others hate it(mostly adults)
i just don't know if it's worth it...i mean i was looking at some short hairstyles in the girl hairstyles thread and i liked them a lot. but they would probably take just as much time lol
plus im not sure if i could pull off that short of hair...
is short hair attractive?
fuck im sorry. if someone can make something out of the mess im posting, thanks

I think short hair can look really good on girls. But, what you should really think about is what you're happy with. If long hair makes you happy and comfortable then keep with it, if the short sounds like a fun experiment then try it. It's all about how you want your style.

RE: The advice thread.
I think I want to cut my bangs, like straight alligned with my eyebrows. I don't know if that would look good. See, my hair is very short, and I'm trying to grow it out, so if I got it cut I wouldn't want to cut much more than my bangs if anything. These are some pictures of my bangs now
Should I do it? I faked it in photoshop and it looked okay. Are there pictures of shortish hair and straight bangs? Do my bangs look fine as they are? School's starting in a month and I don't want to be known as the girl with akward hair.
Thanks.

@hisgoldeneyes
i like the hair you have now
but if you do get bangs be careful
with the length of your hair it will frame your face extremely and may look unappealing
but this also may be a benifit

i myself was considering getting a more appealing cut
a short fringe with a little longer sides
and then layers on the sides not too extemely so i dont have to stick it up everyday
i personally think i could pull the look off, most people i have talk to don't under stand what im talking about so i ask you
hair such like her's, bangs and cut overall
but the edging going down from the bangs like so
give your opinions they will be greatly appriciated

Button up shirt on the inside, V-neck on the outside? Actually, a normal t-shirt might work too.. Try it first.XxSidxX wrote: Ya I tried those, anything else I can do?
I think it depends on the material of the shirt and what not. If its done right, it should work out fine. For me, I'd buy wristbands or bracelets or get fingerless gloves that cover up. If you spend enough time (or have lots of talent), your handmade accessories might look really nice. A thick one might cover it all up and a lot of thin ones should disguise it.emolesbian wrote: is it wise to cut up old shirts and such to make like wrist thingys to cover up my old scars?
at least you've stopped doing it.
I hope
