I actually watched that video and enjoyed it.

I like watching videos of people getting their hair handled, messaged, getting pedicures, getting rid of calluses, things like that.

im sorta new to all this, so exactly what does thinning your hair and layering it do?

IF you can i would recommend buying a HAIR RAZOR cus i did this a while back and after a week i got hooooriblly bad split ends.

I did this to my hair a few times and I never got split ends

i jsut did it for the first time, literally.
it turned out great.
thinner and slighty shorter at the back.

You get split ends because the razor isn't sharp enough. I agree with PrettyOdd, buying a hair scissor would be useful if you do this regular.

Hmm. the razor i used was new, it could be that it was a crappy plastic one that you use for like two or three days?

I don't know more than if you get split ends when you cut your hair, it's because your scissor/razor isn't sharp enough (that's why you never should cut your hair with an ordinary scissor). But I think that those razors aren't as sharp as the ones that you can use more times, maybe that's why?

im lucky my mum is an ex hairdresser so she razors my hair for me ...never had to pay for a haircut

i just did it for the first time, it worked extremely well, i dont really know what split ends look like but my hair seems fine, but i havent done the back, is there an easy way to do it or do u just have to do it blindly?

If you do it looking into a mirror and with a mirror behind you directly as well then you can see the back dear

this is how I cut my hair =) with a shaver or one of those little square razorblades.

X_x nice trick but if your a girl with long hair and you want to cut like substantial hair off with layers say 2 and more inches, I'd suggest a razor on a stick. I think you can get it at any store that cuts hair and it works a lot faster but be careful I nicked myself in the neck with it once >_>
