POEM FORUM RULES

POEM FORUM RULES

by KittensKill on 09-19-2008 11:57 pm

Please help to keep the poetry forum clean and tidy.
This is all just commonsense.

POST YOUR POEMS IN ONE THREAD.
Do it if you want to post more than one poem per month.
If you really want to, you can make a thread per collection of poems.
If you have more than one poem on the first page of the forum, your poems will be locked as spam or deleted and you may be banned for spamming.

And so you dont lose your poetry thread, post it here

Spoiler:

I noticed (along with the other mods) that a lot of you are posting A LOT of "poetry".

You don't have to, but to stop from massively flooding this section it would be a really great idea if you put all of your poetry in one thread, like let's say "Poetry by ______"

It'll help people find everyone's poetry and make it easier.

Also you can add/remove them as you like inside your own massive poetry thread.

Thanks.

Little Soul wrote: If you have many poems you'd like to share with the emo bucket and get feedback on, please be decent and instead of SPAMMING your poetry and filling up two pages of board, put them all in one thread with a post for each poem.

Capiche?

If you do not post all that often or do not have massive amounts of poetry, then please go ahead and post your poems in a thread each, with good distance between.

Thank you.

BEGGING FOR COMMENTS

To be honest, its kinda lame. People will leave comments for your poems if they think you deserve it.
"PLEASE COMMENT" is likely to draw negative comments.

Also, don't complain about the comments you get. Constructive criticism is good. If you can't take the good with the bad, don't post on a public forum.

PLAGIARIZED WRITING.
Don't do it.

If you post someone else's work, state that it is not yours. Don't claim it as your own.
You will get caught out on it.
Post about your fave poems/poets here

CUTTING AND SUICIDE THEMES

Just be aware that these themes add to the negative 'emo' stereotype

Bump. Some people don't seem to be able to follow this rule.
