FASHION FAQ.
Makeup.
I can't get my eye makeup to stay in place. It always smudges. What should I do?
If your skin is oily, wash it before you apply your makeup (with a product for oily skin). Then apply foundation, (primer), and powder. To make your eyeliner stay, put some black (or what colour you use) eyeshadow over it.
Or use an eyeshadow base (for example Benefit Lemon Aid, MAC Paints or Paint Pots and the like - something creamy helps the eyeliner and eyeshadow stick a lot more)
You can often apply eyeshadow with a damp brush/applyer, it makes it stay on longer. However, sometimes that ruins the eyeshadow.
Spraying a layer of for example MAC Fix+ over your eyes when you're finished will make everything stay in place. However, if primers - such as Urban Decay Primer Potion - or eyeshadow bases are used, it's okay to do without fixatives.
What's the best eyeliner?
It really depends from person to person, but some recommended eyeliners/brands are Revlon; Black Velvet 501, No7, Lancome,Covergirl Lasting Liner,Shiseido, Maybelline Unstoppable, MAC and Make Up Store. But it's all about trying which one that works best on you!

How do I apply eyeliner?
Try using liquid liner, and get it as close to the eyelash line as possible
Or if you're uncomfortable with liquid,
Sharpen your pencil until its sharp enough to get really precise with your line.
Or go a total different direction and take some dark eyeshadow, but wet the tip(to get it a tad darker and easier to work with).
You could also use gel liner (they're not as runny as liquid liners but still provide the solidity of liquid liners, examples are L'Oreal HiP, Jane gel liner and MAC fluidline.

I want to start wearing foundation to cover up some skin problems, what foundation should I use?
There are even some foundations that have salycyclic acid, which helps with acne, if that's what you want to cover up,
I think Neutrogena does have some. ProActiv actually makes some foundation and one of my friends uses it and says it works great.
How do I know which foundation to get and how to apply it?
Try it on before you buy it! Not on your hands, because your skin tone is different there than in your face. Try a little on your face instead, for example on your jawline. Make sure you get a foundation that's as close to your skin tone as possible. If you don't know what type of foundation to get, ask someone who works there for assistance. They can also help you choose the colour.
To apply it you can either use your fingers, a sponge or a brush.

Yes. Most of the times you have to. It depends on how much lighter you want it and how dark your hair is.
Do I need to bleach my hair before dying it in extreme colours?
Yes. Even if you've got light hair already. The dye sticks better to bleached hair. How light you have to bleach it depends on what colour you want to dye it in. Lighter colour = light brown. More information about dying your hair in extreme colours:

I shower every day but my hair still ends up greasy at the end of the day. What should I do?
Stop washing your hair that often. 2-3 times a week is enough. When you wash your hair, you wash off the natural oils in the scalp, which makes it produce more. It's like a bad circle. Try start washing your hair every second day. It might be greasy for a while but your scalp will adjust pretty fast.

My hair is dry/damaged, what should I do?
Use moisturizing and caring products. Salon brands are more expensive than cheaper, more common brands, but most times they work better and they last longer. Olive oil is great when your hair is dry/damaged, put some in your hair and let it stay in for a couple hours or more (if you want to sleep with it in, just wrap thin plastic/ a plastic bag around your head and put a towel on your pillow. Rinse out the next morning).
Always condition your hair after you’ve washed it. Use leave in-products. If possible, do not use any heat tools on your hair (blow dryer, flat/curl iron, etc) for a couple of days.

Always use heat protection before you blow dry or straighten your hair. Always condition after you've washed it, and deep condition it 1-2 times a month. Rinse your hair an extra time with cold water after you've condition it. These are good tips even if you don't straighten it.

How do I convince my parents to let me
-dye my hair
-wear more makeup
-get a piercing
-cut my hair
-etc.
Sit down with your parents, act mature and tell them that just because you dye your hair/wear more makeup/whatever you want to do, it doesn't change who you are. Be ready with good arguments. Do not shout or cry. Or, if you think it's better, just do it. However, be ready for consequenses.
