Who cares what your friends think.
If they say stuff that makes you cry, then they're not your real friends.

They always call me "emo" and always say "go cut yourself and listen to Fall Out boy".
After they found out i have cut myself they kinda stoped saying that , they take the piss sometimes but they never really mean it, and when i get fed up usually the stop and find another helpess target among the group, of course not all my friends stop so recently i have lost a few.

You should tell them if they hurt your feelings and if they care they will stop if they dont they are no good friends and not worth your friendship.

none of my friends (or any of my school for that matter) are even the slightest bit emo (or scene, they hate the music and the fashion). i'm alone in that sense, but never really alone anyway cos theres all you guys here.
i guess i am slowly losing my friends because i am what i am, and they don't like it.
i don't care what any of my friends think. 'emo' has become an overrated stereotype, and when something becomes a stereotype, it gets really tough to say your a part of that and still have a concept of individuality. people shouldn't stereotype, they should just accept everyone for what they are. especially 'emo' has been mixed up, the music and the fashion plus all the stereotypical traits, not everyone conforms to every single thing on the list.
come to think, my friends called my emo a few times. i threatened to cut myself with my scissors (but i'd never do it, who knows where the scissors have been (no nastyness intended))
and besides, i have a life outside emoness, its not 24/7 eg i like other bands (the velvet underground and skyhooks i'm sure were never emo. and opeth certainly isn't, its just different), i HAVE colorful stuff in my wardrobe: as in it EXISTS (not used much though), and i don't have a vitamin A defficiency from staying indoors and trying to make my skin paler.

as to what people say behind my back, well, i'm not even gonna GO THERE. I'll just go play DDR or something

I no I have the same problem with people well I don't have many friend at school and people call me emo and people say to me "what's up emo" "hey are you emo " "why are you emo " and it's annoying and people well look at my arms and wrist and there like oh he's no emo and I try to explain what emo is and that emo is not cutting then they are like yes you have to cut to be emo and I get mad becaz they won't listen to me people are to judgemental

Emo has a DIFFERENT meaning here in Europe when we say emo here its always classed as the music , clothes and hair in one we dont use the word "scene" here so for all the Americans here stop getting so angry everytime someone says emo in a way you think is incorrect its a continental difference....live with it.

Like the little names under your user name says "fresh meat" and "almost emo" then i could nag about am i almost a music genre ?!?!

i have friends that aren't emo, but they accepted me..i am happy that i have good friends..^^
but in fact, i am the only "emo" among all my friends in my city.. i mean, i have a lot of friends who listens differents kinds of music, like metal, punk rock, alternative,etc.. and wear black clothes, and no one is emo but me! haha, i'm the only one..

Hmm funny because i went to an English school for 7 years all my friends are english all the clubs and places i go are english and everytime i get called "emo kid" not "scene kid".
Im more English than Dutch to people.

Im more English than Dutch to people.

That's because "Emo" is the negative stereotype given by the media, thus you get caled "Emo kid" because they don't know.

My friends constantly call me Emo, but it doesn't bother me that much cuz they accept me sort of. It's not exactly the way i dress, or the kind of music I listen to, it's mostly the way I act. And everyday someone makes the comment. Some days I laugh it off and others I get really mad.

they make fun of me
