Reflections of a broken heart
Through a broken mirror
What could be worse than this
Where did all the time go?

Candles dance on the wall
As I sit and stare
No one seems to care
I should have just died there

Flames so pretty and bright
They light up the night
Feels like I'm runnin through them right now
I'm tryin to cool off

But you went too far
With what you said
Burnt a whole in my heart
And now I'm patching things up

Wiping the ash off of my face
Leaves marks
From your lies
It hurts so much

It brings tears to my eyes
Burnin through your web
Should never have gotten tied up
With you

But now all I have is regret
And I can't make you
Take back what you said
It's really over now

I see you
I run towards you to hug you

I hit the wall again
I see the writing
And it looks like mine

It's the diary that I've carved
It talks about how many times I've seen you
And how I always end up
Falling for you every time

I get to the point
Of when I think I'm over you
But then I try to take a step ahead
And I fall

Wondering how it happened like this
Trying to smile even in the middle of this
Feels like I'm falling forever
Its been years and I still haven't found solid ground

Holding onto hopes that are shattered
Cause giving up would get me nowhere
I hear you echo through the chambers
But I can't make out the words

But deep down in my heart I know that
It's nothing but the wind howling
Through my empty and shallow heart
That I never should have trusted

I try to grab the walls for safety
But they are cold and wet
Is there any point in going on
I ask myself daily

Even though I never get a reply
I know the answer
I just haven't figured out
If it's the answer that I want

Sea of Broken Dreams

Somewhere off
Far from me
Sits a little girl
At the edge of the sea

Watching the waves
Just like her dreams
Beat up on the rocks
But then break apart

She watches the sun set
With an eerie glow
Just like glowing embers
Soon start to fade
Just like the love she lost
Not too long ago

Followed by the sunset
Soon comes the moon
Giving light
On the sea of broken dreams

Dead Beauty

The air is fresh and crisp with a slight scent of flowers
The furniture is is dusted and polished

The halls are lined with memories
The picture frames are silver and golden
The pictures new and fresh
The wall paper new and clean

Years went by and the family left
Leaving everything behind
What caused them to leave
No one has been able to understand

The sun rises and shines on the house like an unwelcome enemy
The house now shows its true colors

The sun shines throught the dusty cracked windows
And spreads light across the modly decaying wood floor
The stale unmoving air makes every breath a struggle
Dust smothers the furniture

The halls that were once lined with happy memories have now faded
The frames are tarnished and black
The pictures have faded and fallen to the ground
The wall paper has peeled and uncovered the rotting wood

Everything has a certain length to live
And when that time is up
There is no bringing it back
