1. Section out the hair that will be blonde. Make sure to make clean parts or this will come back to haunt you later on.
2. Pin back everything that is NOT in this section
3. Start from the back of this section and make 1/4 inch thick section, get your foil layed down and apply the color/bleach, making sure not to apply the color further than the foil reaches. You will have 1/4 inch dark roots after this first process. Continue making 1/4 inch sections until you’ve completed your section to be blonde
4. Let color process
5. Rinse.
6. Pin up the section that is now orange. This is what your clean parts in the first step was for...
7. Apply dark hair color to rest of hair
8. Stick pieces of foil on top of the hair color surround the pinned up blonde section.
9. Time for the second process for the blonde section. Again, making small sections apply color at the roots since these didn’t get covered in the first process. After roots are covered, pull color through to ends of hair.
10. Process color
11. Wash hair and apply a mask since the textures are going to be way different between the dark and light hairs. [Basically just get some nice good conditioner in your hair and sit with it on your head under heat for about 10 minutes.]
12. Tone blonde if needed to get rid of orange/yellows.
