It only bugs me when they pretend to cut their wrists, that's insulting. Most of my friends are either indie, scene, or punk. When they do that i just laugh and tell them "yah know most emo's don't cut." and they almost never believe me.

Ya I mean if your friends aren't emo but you are!!! I would either 1.get over it, 2.Talk them into being emo ~or~ 3.stop being emo all together!!! But that's just me!!

Yeah I kind of feel the same way.
When I met my friends they weren't really any specific style,
they just wore whatever, and they acted pretty nerdy Laughing

But after they met me they started dressing in almost the exact same stuff,
and started acting more and more like me..
It's like they tried so hard to blend in with me O_O
I had to ask them to just take a step back and be themselves.
Now everything's pretty kool again.

i had the same issue with my friends they all called me emo and i always denied it until i realized i am emo so now when then call me emo im like "ya i am, whats the deal?" and then they'll say that im not emo even tho they called me emo before...theres no winning, u could ask them to stop if it upsets u, elsewise ur gonna jus have to get used to it =/ and remember they'll get bored with it eventually...

Holy shit, im the odd one out. All of my friends are druggies, hippies, trendy kids, and bums. It's not a bad thing at all. I really love the diversity, I love having friends not 100% like me.
