Quite the questionable topic.
When you think about it, how many things are "emo", truly?
Is anything emo?
Is it a figment of our imaginations?
Is it an excuse for insecure tweens to try and fit-in to a world of fakes?

"lol im so emo imma cut myself now lol" - poser. Not emo. But what the hell IS emo?

To consider myself "emo", as it portrays itself to me, personally, I would be calling myself a sub-genre of music.
Emily- a sub-genre of music born from punk and indie music.
Or is it..
Emily- a steriotyped kid who cuts herself for attention, whines a lot, thinks everyone hates her, etc.?
Or perhaps,
Emily- a girl who must have serious problems simply based on the fact that she chooses to dress in typical emo/scene attire.

After thinking of those three, or four, including the poser bit mentioned above, I am not "emo". In any sense of the word.

But, who amongst us.. is?

EMO IS A GENRE OF MUSIC, NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS.

A tween is a pre-teen, I guess.

As in, between little kid and teenager. Ages 11-12?
