Tell them it makes you upset and all. i dont fit in with anyone but i have frinds in all the groups. maybe they dont know it gets to you. and if they did it would stop. but if not then like evryone is saying dich them. they wont be true frinds if they dont like you for you.

Oh and also, "emo" is a song genre, not a style, "scene" is a style. so dont get them confused.
Oh I know just everyone around here is to ignorent to know the difference and ive quit trying to fight them on it, this is me "I'm scene! I listen to "emo" music retard! is this difficult!?" oh well i guess what people call me doesnt matter, I know who i am, thats what matters.
Let our history repeat itself one too many times, for every time we return to our scene it seems less like a crime.

gooosh.
you dont have to have ONLY
emo friends.
i have a whole varietyy.
and guess what??
it didnt hurt me or bother me
one bit!!
so why should it you?
im sure your friends dont care
if your "emo" <genre, not fashion label.
if they do.
then they are obviously not REAL LIFE
freinds.
they are pretending. Smile

Hey, my friends are like.....really diverse. There are jocks, preps, theatre-dorks, nerds, and scene kids.

Sometimes they might say something, and sometimes it bothers others, but if they are really your friends, hopefully what they say isn't really meant to seriously hurt your feelings.

In my case, the best way to deal with it is to laugh with them. It should be okay to laugh at yourself once in a while.

This whole 'emo' stereotype is really overdramatized by people who aren't labelled in the category, so they don't really know what they are saying.

Maybe you should just tell your friends that you're bothered by their comments, and if they are really your friend they will take that into consideration...just my opinion.

The only one of my friends that "are emo" is my girlfriend. And sometimes my friends call me emo but I know that they'r joking. But ofcourse sometimes I get angry cuz they call me emo when everyone else in school thinks of emo as a kid who cuts herself -.-

If your friends call you emo, ask them what they mean by it. Hopfully they are just joking.

my friends arnt emo there sorta of like normal with a hint of chav (they dress normally but listen to all that rnb and grime shit)

They call me emo sometimes, mostly coz they dont know that the better word to use would be scene, even though i dont label myself, but yh...

the name calling doesnt bother me coz i know who i am inside bt when they make wristcuttin gestures thats what pisses me off coz its so stereotypical and kids dont cut themselves for fun they actually have shit goin on in there lives that makes them do that and for them to make a joke out of it pisses me off

I have a few friends you would consider scene. But most of the other ones call me emo all the time, a few call me goth, and I don't look anywhere near that. Just the other day, one of my friends that I hadn't seen in while said, are you still wearing goth stuff when we were on msn.
I was like -_-
It gets on my nerves, but I usually just end up saying, if you wanna be my friend, you're gonna have to look past how I dress, if you can't do that, then I have plenty of other friends who like me for the right reasons.

yes, yes it is. thank you for noticing.
