no, as far as i know emos punks and goths basically all date each other. its preps+emos/goths/punks that seems to be a problem...

if you lyke someone, date them.
all because they're "emo" "goth" "prep" etc, doesn't mean anything.
don't judge people for what other people see them as, judge them for what you see. & that only counts if you really know them.

if you say "ew no i can't date a goth, i'm a punk!" that would be extremely shallow of you.
if you actually got to know a certain goth, & you didn't lyke them, alright. don't judge the whole "goth" thing all becuz of them.

it all depends on the individual.

why should it matter to you whether it's wrong or not? if you like the person - go for it. don't sit around worrying, "omg, they're not emo like me, is it wrong if i like them?"
in the real world - there are no stereotypes. it shouldn't matter what label they are.
and i agree: it's your decision, not your friends'. after all, it's you who likes them ne?
