Hmm I really like Teenagers and Famous Last Words... I like the lyrics a lot more than some of the music they have though, I have got to say.

I love MCR, probably my favorite band. I listen to the original stuff as well as the black parade and I think its all good. I cant understand why people say that they arent good anymore or that they sold out. If any thing they have grown as a band, I think the music is better now and they still have that true emotional edge in their lyrics. Just because they are more poular now then back in like 01 when they started doesnt meen that they cannot be a good hardcore band. Same thing with AFI, Atryu, etc.
Let our history repeat itself one too many times, for every time we return to our scene it seems less like a crime.

people just play the blame game, MCR influenced many bands
and saved peoples lives with there lyrics
there no emo band.
they talk about there life and how there feeling in there lyrics
and thats what i love, that you can relate to the music
I love picking up an mcr album putting on the headphones
and singing along to the lyrics knowing what it means. I cry towards the end at there concerts for some reason

I heard MCR hates emos. I have a lot of friends who like MCR. And one day I claim they were emo. They go "dude, NO, they hate emos." Apparently they went to a concert where the guy with bushy hair kept saying "FUCK EMO! FUCK EMO!" I'm not lying at all, otherwise there wouldn't be a point in saying this. They also apparently hate to be categorized under emo.

its true though, they don't like stereotypes and from what they
heard emo isnt that great to be categorized as.
Well you can't blame them there sound isnt emo
and yeah i went to a concert and there were some people yelling that too
only it was outside the garden rather then inside >_<

I think on their website Gerard is quoted as saying that their music is "violent, dangerous pop" I think that means "emo music without admitting that were emo" well whatever, I love them and what classification their music falls into doesnt matter to me

Couldn't live without MCR...

This is all just my opinion. Bash me if you want, I fight back:
I couldn't live without these guys. I don't believe the whole hating-emos thing. It just doesn't seem like them. I went to one of their concerts just a couple months ago. The entire place was TEEMING with emos. The band still seemed perfectly happy. Also, the music video for 'I'm Not Okay' seems to describe what a lot of emos go through. Watch it, it's fuking hilarious.
