I play the 5-stringed bass guitar ^.^

I used to wan't to play it but now I don't i'm a guitarist now..

I'm just curious, what's the difference between guitar and bass guitar? I've always wondered.

They are quite diffrent, most bass guitars are 4 string (I didnt know you could get 5 >_<) And guitar are mostly are 6 string. Bass guitar makes a deeper sound, guitar higher (Though still can make a deep sound)

I currently have an Ibanez something, 4 string. I'm saving up monies so I can get an acoustic or a 5/6 string.

They make guitars and basses with like as many strings as you could ever want.

they're pretty expensive but worth it.
my Fender cost $375 but it has custom made white lining and hand made bone-nut

mine's the black one, im prolly gonna take some pics of me with it tomorrow.
i got it secondshand for €200, a fine deal.

can play two songs by silverstein, i think one by hawthorne hieghts, one by green day, one by escape the fate ^.^ and i've only played for like 2 weeks, so kinda proud.


about the difference:
the standard EADG string of a bass guitar are tuned one octave lower than the first four standard EADG strings of an acoustic/electric guitar. five-stringed bass guitars, most oftenly used in metal genres, have an added low B-string.
of course, it can just be played as a 4-stringed, by basically 'skipping' the B-string. For example, when playing a songs by blessthefall or escape the fate, i use the BDADG tuning.
