How did I become emo?

Well you see...

I'm only part emo!

When the moon is full...I begin my transformation into an angst ridden teen! I get a sudden urge to wear all black, and listen to crappy pop-punk, like Hawthorne Heights...

And then I wreak havoc when the clock strikes midnight, and I shout my shallow, poorly thought out poetry to the world, and make them deaf!

well i turned emo after i broke up with my girlfriend...and then it all got worse and i found myself getting into metal and indie and then i discovered MCR and AFI and stuff like that and well..it sort of took off from there.......ive never looked back since, i feel so liberated...

I turned emo when I was like 13. because everyone hated me. so i killed them all. or at least I thought about it...or something

well i always wore skinny jeans as a little kid i didnt fit in at all i tried to fit in so hard but it was not meant to be . so iv been emo since i was 8 but i hate the way people treat me its pathetic just because im emo scene doesnt mean im not a person and dont have feelings . i just wanna be treated the same dont you ?

I became emo because I feel like I'm alone in this world. I feel like no one loves me, no one cares for me and no one understands me. I fee depression and despair. I don't know why.... I just felt sudden sadness. Until I found the emo sub culture and it fits me. So I turned into an emo and I'm proud of it.

well tbh i sorta already was, its hard to explain, the thing that is now seen as emo is kinda taken from bits of stuff that was already around, like the whole emo music thing is basically just a heavier twist on pop-punk mixed with some elements of Skate rock and Post-Hardcore (although im this was like in the late 80's or sumit like that apparently and im not gona deny that for al you know it alls out there). I happened to be a big fan of skatrock post-hardcore and pop-punk anyway so that helped.

But when this sudden craze of skinny jeans, stripes and big fringes with bright coloured bits came in I was kinda already there without meaning to be, and i decided i liked it, for once i fitted in with a crowd, even if it was the crowd that were purposely trying not to fit in =p so i jus stuck with it, and then i became gradually more emo cos i finally had a style to work to as aposed to before when i kinda just had my own little mesh of being a skater-punk type and some kind of pop-punk loving outcast.

Plus why not be emo, i mean no1 here can deny that tbh, its the ace-est style going! i mean Emos are almost always good looking, emo music rocks, and i can still walk round with a skateboard without looking out of place =p
