is emo cool or uncool in ur area?

ive been wondering because it seems like not everywhere emo is considered the same
come places HATE emos
some think theyre "cool"
some think theyre posers
some dont even notice them

when i lived with my dad..it was...just kind of a "whatever" thing
now that im here...half my school hates me
half love me...

all because of how i look.

i live in the middle of cow country idaho... so im the only emo surrounded by idiot cowboys and hicks...and people here will seriously go past you and shoot at you with beebee guns and will mess with your house and try to make your life so horrid..it sucks really bad..

Where i live is full of scenesters between the age of (10 and 14) and indie people above 18..
we also have more punks and goths than scene kids.
i haven't seen many emo haters as of yet... here you dress how you want... go out naked and none would care

the school one of my bffs goes to thinks that emos were born unto this earth to torment.
i went there once and left with a black eye, a bloody lip and an empty wallet.
i wish i live near the university in dublin..... the people that live there are sooo hot! ^.^

i dont think were noticed here all that much, i mean people do but they dont take their time to really put us down.
they have their opinions, we have ours, and its just like that. life goes on..

but we do stand out alittle. :] that's what i like.

last year when i was a freshman, there werent nearly any emos AT ALL, like.

but the new incoming class...i swear half of them are emo kids. those lil fuckies.

Well, I live in a small village thing and people very much hate me, the gothic girl and the gay guy xD but I go to a privat school with 10 students. 3 of them likes emo, 2 don't and the rest don't care

hmm..i dunno..its both excessive attention, be it negative or positive.
theyre both equally sickening to me..

In my town, well in my school there are only 3 scene kids, and I'm one of them.
Then we have like all these wanna bee emo/scene kids. We just want to beat the crap out of them.
It's not like people hate "the emo kids" it's just that they're isn't very many of us, so we tend to stick out more.
People just aren't used to us, yet....

the poseurs actually look down on me for being truly emo

but they should fucking let me sit in my own sorrow, be silent and glare at the world if i want

If we want to be our own person, not talk to certain types of people, if we want to wear certain types of clothes, then we should be able to. Without them judging us. Like, we aren't harming them so what the hell is their deal?

but it seems that it has been completely taken over by posers so now its the opposite of the beginning, its as if the posers dominate and the real emos are being beaten down...
