That's true, you can't know everything from the beginning. but that alone won't make you a poser, unless you're >trying< really hard (without success, of course).
also, that checklist is exaggerated and you shouldn't take it too seriously. after some discussion we also came up with the thought that there may be some kind of 'emotional mentality' after all (not involving depression or any of that shit however). I don't fully agree with my own checklist anymore ^^

Hahaha. Yeah. I don't think it's so easy to define. But I DO think it's quite obvious to us who are "poseurs" and who aren't. At least if your talking to one. It's kind of an obvious thing. Don't you think? I mean I may be wrong, but I can usually tell when someone is faking it just because their friends dress scene or situations like that....

emo means- markedly aroused or agitated in feeling or sensibilities.
and theres something to do with your feelings,

so anyone ca be emotional..

and a love song can be emo too, because some love song, is all about breaking up or something, see, that can be emo song too, and its not the band, if they r punk rock or what ever, it depends on the song they are playing,, example, metallica- they play nothing else matter.. look what r the lyrics,, focus to the meaning and lyrics.. c its emotional too,, but metallica is a metal band.. all im saying is, is not the band if it is emo or not, it depends on the muzik they are playing..
