as darkness envelops my soul
and silence wraps its
dark icy tentecles around my heart
turning it to stone
i look into your eyes
and see who i once was
who people still belive i am
the girl laughing with all her friends
the girl without a care in the world
but that was a long time ago
that girl is dead and gone
all that is left is the dried up
cacoon that i hide inside
all that is left is the tears
that i cried because of you
