PETA Un-Happy Meals

i understand where PETA is coming from with animal cruelty and stuff.... theres a micheal foods (chicken farm thing) in my town, and they dont treat the chickens well BUT eating other animals is natural.... like is the circle of life, so yea i think that they shouldnt be as mean to the animals, but i also dont think that someone should become a vegetarian and harm their body by not NATURALLY (i know you can take pills but its not as good) getting vitamins and minerals... besides if the animal is already killed and cooked why not eat it? its not like you can help it anymore

and yea i think its stupid for them to go against McDonalds, and the colorful packaging thing? ummmm wow everything is colorfully packaged for kids haha (idk if im really proving a point here but whatever)

waht do you think? do you think PETA has gone too far? they are against the mistreatment of animals; but does that give them the right to have kids be given things like this to further their own opinions? a lot of children are shielded from violence from a young age; this could definitely give them nightmares or even scar them for life.

Okay so at first i was totally against it. But that was one sided... Go to the peta website..read their side of this.. so ya, it may be a little violent or whatever but the kids..the parents need to see this stuff. you cant be protected your whole lives, you might as well be told young.. and look around you... video games, movies, tv shows, heck even tom and jerry are violent shows.. so who cares if theyre showed in real life what animal cruelty is and how it effects everything from kids.. to say.. chickens...

im for it..
and to peta i say
GOOD JOB Cool

PETA respects animals more than they respect women.

it has nothing to do, that they do not respect women.
the difference is, that this woman has a choice, if she wants to be presented
like this or not.
an animal has no choice

i dont think we were made to kill them brutally

we dont need to kill them brutally

but think about this: most of those animals would have never even lived if we didnt eat meat........ atleast they got the chance to live

Yes, we are animals too, so by saying that you're ok with someone cutting your life short and torturing you to death..?
I think not...

For me personally, I agree with what PETA are doing, the only way people will realise the true cruelty in what is happening behind closed doors is if it is shocked into them.

Kitty, you arent, and cant be, that bad. Not by what i know of you [admittedly not much, but still]
Ill admit, it can be traumatising, if shown to an extremely small child, but whats wrong to handing them out to people aged, say...10/12 upwards..? You cant wrap a child in bubble-wrap forever, and you honestly cant think its that traumatic, or you would have locked this discussion long ago, or at least removed images and description. People need to know, and if this is they way to get their attention, even if it isnt fully how they promote the message, why not..?
Look at it this way, put yourself in a parents shoes. Would you want your child to find out in a shocking doccumentary or in a crude way off older friends, with what can be missleading information, or for them to find out in an accurate and relatively harmless manner that deals with it in a way the can understand and link with the real world(by using McDonalds)...?
I know what I'd choose...

im not saying shelter the children, im saying stop feeding them crap information
prevention is better than cure
teach them the right way to do things, teach them what is better
theres enough nastiness in this world without it being thinly disguised as education

I agree with not feeding them crap information, but how do we sort out what gets said and what doesnt on such a huge scale..? We dont.
Hiding the nastiness....sometimes i think people need to see it, to understand the world in which we attempt to live...
I personally would just put a ban on McDonalds, but thats beside the point...

the more you see, the more you are hardened to it, the less it effects you.
if you've ever seen the forum when its been spammed with gorepacks... i hope you've never seen it, i have, and it scarcely registers

and put how many thousands of people out of work?
why not ban KFC? or any other fast food chain?
who are you to tell people what they can and cant eat?
