not sure what to do with my hair

currently its my natural brown colour, with side bangs and lots of layers
which is kinda boring
ive experimented with temporary dyes, i like black, but its a little too extreme for me. i was considering doing the underneath part black, and the top part more reddish.
any suggestions?

what my friend did is she mad her hair short in the back, like just above her ears, then made her hair get longer until it came to her bangs, then put these dark red streaks in it. i gotta tell you, it looks awsome.
maybe somthing like that for you?
