Your new haircut is not bad...
But The only thing I can think of is to make it in to a choppy ponytail, and dye some of it... (because its not long or short, its in the middle, and that is the hardest way to have your hair, in my opinion, especially if you like to do cool things with it.)
However, using pre-colored hair strips that you can buy almost anywhere is also a good way to go, and that way none of it gets damaged.
And it looks cool.

it looks really nice methinks If you think it's too chunky and straight (like many cuts are) just go around with a pair of thinning scissors (with the comb on one side, blade on the other) and cut it down the lengths. I cut my own hair into a short guy-ish style with them and they make styling easy as.
