My BFF needs a pick-up- help needed

So basically my friend has no self-confidence at all- shes gone as far as putting sheets over her mirrors 'cause she can't stand her reflection at all. My friends and I, we all think shes beautiful, we have even likened her image to that of Taylior Swift- but my friend, Jamie, won't listen to us at all. Shes hit a rutt, her life isnt going anywhere, her folks got a divorce- shes really down at the moment, so I was just wondering if maybe you could leave a positive comment about her picture- so that we can show her this page and she can see that she isn't just beautiful on the inside. I think it'd give her a real lift...And she really needs that at the moment.

While you and your friends will play an integral part of her recovery of self esteem, she also needs professional therapy. This is serious.

That wouldn't make me feel better.

I went through that, I'm still not totally over it, but I get what she's going through.
but look, she's not going to feel better about herself just from people telling her how pretty she is. It might make her temporarily feel better, temporary high, but it won't last. She's not going to feel better until she knows she's beautiful.

and I don't see any resemblance to Taylor Swift in that picture. She looks like Rachel McAdams to me.

Talk to her about getting help. Like SS says, it is serious, and it won't get better on its own usually.
